Hi,

Does the A129 Duo support High Dynamic range operation?

thanks

Patrick

Yes. There is HDR ON/Off in the menu.

No, that's WDR (Wide Dynamic Range).

In an HDR video, the dynamic range of a digital video camera is extended by capturing several identical images of a scene, each with a different exposure value. In post-production the multiple frames are blended together to create a single image that has a greater dynamic range than the camera can capture in a single shot.
Cheers

No, currently there is no HDR since it is not supported by the current sensor, however the sensor does have a pretty good dynamic range to start with so there is no need to worry. Compared to some older sensors it is HDR even though it does it with a single exposure and thus causes no motion artefacts through having to combine multiple different images.
