Short version of the question: Any idea what the behavior is of the Wifi client mode function on these? ie: When it is powered up and does not find the configured AP, does it just give up until the next power cycle or will it continue?
Currently I have a setup I'm trying to accomplish where it will connect to my Wifi at home when I arrive. My vehicle keeps it powered up for about an hour or so after key-off. I have my NAS scripted to ping the camera and download new clips to back them up. But best I can tell if I have been out and running and come back, it doesn't link up to my Wifi. Only if I am messing with the car in my garage so the camera powers up in range of my Wifi does it seem to be functional.
As an FYI: I do believe I'm on the latest official firmware. I checked it a couple weeks ago when I started setting this up and it was up to date at the time per Viofo's support pages.
