A329S New Customer Questions

OK so I plugged the dashcam in but I'm not getting a prompt for the new firmware to download over the WiFi

OK guys so I used the sd card to manually update the firmware.

Glad to see that the bp100 battery cut off is now available.

But for some reason I can't connect to my battery pack anymore via Bluetooth.
I don't understand everything is turned on the blue Bluetooth light is flashing but it doesn't pick it up on my app.

It did before the firmware update so something strange has happened.

OK scratch that I had to disable and repair I think it's working now

OK something weird is going on.
It's like either the phone or the dashcam can be paired to the battery pack but not at the same time.

So once I got my phone to connect it said battery not found when trying to set the cut percentage.

When I somehow got the dashcam and the battery to pair my phone gets locked out and can't see it in the app.

So upon further testing I found when my phone was connected to the battery pack the dashcam says "no paired battery pack found".
So I'm guessing to use this feature we sacrifice the phone to be able to connect to the Bluetooth because I can't get both to work at the same time

I did this multiple times and have gotten the same results.
The only way I can get my phone to connect is if I manually turn off the battery pack then turn it on it will pair to my phone.
Then I realised it's now lost connection to the dashcam and so your battery percentage cut off won't work unless you pair that back up again.

Anyone else finding this?

BP100 paired with A329S.
Firmware: V2.1 260702
See attached screenshots.

So on your testing can you double check that when it's successfully paired to the battery pack.
Are you able to go into your viofo battery app and connect to the battery which will tell you the charging status power voltage approx run time in parking mode etc?

I feel if you choose the battery cut off option you have to sacrifice having the portal on your app.

I guess in theory once it's set up you don't really need to see the battery status and the approx run time because it would know what to do anyway but it would be nice to still be able to view in when you want

@joysleep
Did @rcg530 answer all you questions, or do you still need help with these?

Viofo team.

Is there anyway you can test out or fix the issues with the bp100 battery.
Can you test whether the Bluetooth app on your phone still works when you have paired this to the dashcam to work with hybrid parking?

Look forward to your response.

You have to use the @ symbol, like so...

@viofo
@VIOFO-Support

That way they get a notification that they have been mentioned. šŸ˜‰

Just type the following:

@joysleep

from your keyboard or phone. Use the @ symbol followed by the username of anyone
on this forum and they will get a notification pointing back to your post.

Sorry what do it mean it's normal?

As in were the team aware of the issues?
It is not the issue. Currently, they connect via pairing, so only one device can be connected at a time. Future connections will use a broadcasting method, but this requires time to optimize.

Oh right.
I just wanted confirmation that the issue I was experiencing is normal right now and that it wasn't possible for both phone and dashcam to pair to the battery pack

Please try make this happen.
If this can work then I honestly believe that these are the best settings you can with the dashcam and would be a remarkable set up.

Please keep us updated on your developments.
You guys are doing a great job

Hi peeps

I wanted to ask the users that have an ssd.
Do you save your low bit rate recording to the ssd or micro sd?
The BP100 reports and 12-16 hours recording time on three channels with a full charge.
This is assuming you are writing to the micro sd card.
What would be the recording time if this was to ssd?
Would there be a big difference?
