Hi all. I have a problem with SD card for Dash Cam. While formatting it says memory card capacity is too low. My SD card is Samsung Evo 256 GB. Any ideas how to solve it?IMG_20210810_180536.jpg

How old is your card? Do you know if it is original for sure?
There's a way to test it and find out. I would start there.

It's original for sure. Card is 2 years old. I did the test and it failed. Should I buy new card? If yes which one?

Samsung EVOs are quite good and I haven't had any issues with any of them yet after 3+ years, however, they are not designed for dashcam usage or security cameras where they are exposed constant writing cycles and any card can dye prematurely. There is the samsung pro endurance designed specifically for dashcam and security cameras but not sure if the A800s will accept it since they are U1 rated, meaning lower writing speeds. These cameras tend to be picky with slower cards.

Should I buy new card?
Forgot to answer this question...
Yes, I think that would be a good idea as well as always carrying another as a spare in case you have to protect some valuable evidence in case of an unfortunate event.

Hi. Does anybody know why my A800S with an 128 GB Sandisk High Endurance only record video on aprox. 70 GB? I don't have the rear camera. Maybe the camera retain a part of the card memory for the rear camera?

I'm using Lexar 128GB 633x with speedtest as image attached but my 800s report my card is low speed and need replacement. But if I replace with samsung evo plus with lower speed testing then no more slow speed reporting. so strange

Hi guys,
I also have a problem with a 256GB SanDisk High Endurance card.
I have this message on the camera: Memory card needs upgrading. Please replace it. Please use U1 or above memory card.
With the 256GB card I get that error even though it is a V30 which is the equivalent of a U3, 30MB/s.
The 256GB card is new, it works without problems in GoPro 9, I connected it to the PC and copied data to it, I had no errors.

With the 128GB card it works without any problem.
I also updated the firmware to the latest version, no change.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi again,
it seems that it is in a counterfeit card, the writing speed on it is on average 4-5MB/s and sometimes it reaches 14MB/s. The 128GB card starts to write at 70-80MB/s and remains constant.
Why did I assume that it was a counterfeit card, in the feedback, several others wrote that the products purchased from the same seller did not correspond to the description in terms of appearance and function.
It is a French company that sold the product through a Romanian portal, most probably I have to send it under warranty to France, on my own money and the cost of transport is the same as the price of the card. This is probably what the seller is relying on...
