I hardwired a Mobius (supercapacitor version, FW 2.41) to my car this weekend and it is working great.

If necessary I want the ability to quickly access the movie files on my Android phone (Droid Turbo, android 5.1, not rooted, no SD card slot). It seems like a lot of people go down the OTG cable route, but wouldn't it be simpler to just get a microSD card reader for my phone like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00J2D7R20. Then on rare occasions I can just pop out the SD card, view/save a clip on my phone, and then pop it back into the Mobius.

Couple of questions:
- What file viewer works best on a stock Android for viewing videos?
- Is there a preferred file format to record with on the Mobius to be able to view it on Android? Right now I'm using the default MOV format.

thanks.

I have this one for emergency cases:

Using .MOV is just fine and I use MX Player.

I'm not certain you'd be able to save the clip to your phone, they are rather large files, but you'd be able to view them on the spot and then deal with them via the computer at a later point in time.

I use micro SD card reader on my Nexus 5 to see Mobius recordings. Have not done file transfer to phone yet.
