Hi, im from Southampton and have been using dashcams for years, as a sales rep I can do a lot of miles.

Main reason for dashcams (we all have embarrassing secrets) is number plate spotting and currently use a Nextbase 622GW front and back and a Nextbase Drive on my motorbike, excellent as they are, my expectations are always too high and I want more, is there anything out there that is better?

I'm guessing you want a 4K dashcam? Normally we recommend 2K, but if your spotting plates on the motorway during daytime then 4K would be better.

An upgrade for image quality would be the Viofo A129 Pro.

If you also want cloud etc. then Thinkware U1000, although image quality is not quite as good as the Viofo.

There is not much else better than the Nextbase at the moment, 4K dashcams that don't overheat are hard to make!

If you are happy with 2K then there are other options?
2K is better for poor lighting.

Welcome :)

Thanks for your reply Nigel, I’m even considering professional cctv for vehicles but can’t find one that doesn’t use external boxy cameras. I’ll look into the Viofo though.
