These ill advised left hand turns, where there is collision resultin in the other party going airborne. One day its a motorcycle which is a victim, the next day its a VW. Sorry, there is a streamable video, but no youtube. Several news sites though

According the CBC, three people were hurt in this.

Daum  that was severe crumble zone testing.

New season of Danish cop programs started today, a guy on MC took off from MC cop and unmarked cop car, and tore ass thru congested motorway traffic and then ended up in a industrial area with no chance of escape.
The guy ran cuz he only had license for car, but with his insane driving his very nice and very expensive Yamaha YFZ - R1 ( 43.729,06 USD ) the motorcycle was taken from him,,,,, and will not be returned. :p

There is times I envy you Danes. I wish we had impoundment with no return.

Recently, like a few days ago, a driver did 158 km/h (98 mph) in a school zone with 40 km/h limit. Ok, school is out for summer but still. Car is impounded for several days but will be returned.

I read some with a similar high end sports car got, actually his fathers, got a one week impoundment only to get another 1 week impoundment several months later. These people who never learn shouldn't be allowed to drive or own a car.

Well it also just come into play here with totally irresponsible and dangerous / reckless driving and to be honest i never seen or heard of it before, and then repeated events of drunk driving, and repeated driving on tuned mopeds witch are pretty much the norm here with 16+ YO kids, and of course repeated driving with no license.
I think its pretty cool this route, cuz loosing your license and fines dont seen to work, car confiscations also dont always work, people just get old wrecks that it dont matter all that much if it is confiscated, but then prison come into play too.
Some degree of timed confiscation for lesser offenses i even support too, at least working people that sort of need the car will be forced to think really hard as they take the train or bus to work for a few months.
I dont even work but i would just hate to not have my car for a month or two.

School just started here last week, and as every year the police was out in force near the schools to bust speeders, and funny thing is the people speeding while driving their kids to school are the same that will not let their kids bicycle or walk to school as "thats too dangerous" the human mind are a strange thing indeed.

There is at least one Russian car crash video on YT showing only airborne car crashes. Cars can fly an amazing distance when things are just right to get them launched well. I have good reaction times and have never 'froze' when the unexpected happens, but that might be different if I were to see a car flying at me

That guy in the white car was travelling fast, not sure what the limit is there but it looks 50-60mph to me.

That's nothing. Don't want to divert the thread, but this US guy did 220mph on the public freeway and video'ed himself (with help) doing it:

The same ( left turn in front of biker ) happened here today, and the 45 YO biker was DOIWG ( Dead On Impact with Ground )

80 YO driver and passenger in car got bruises.

That would be 10yrs in prison over here.

If you have connections then here you'd pay a basic "failure to yield" fine and walk away. Even without connections you wouldn't go to jail unless you were driving while impaired.

A biker I knew slightly here got severely injured in a similar situation. The true diagnosis was a wheelchair forever but he was stubborn so he now walks with a cane. He didn't like all the crap and the time that he went through to get a fair settlement so he spent his healing time in Law School, and now he specialises in representing motorcyclists who get harmed by the blind idiot drivers which are so prevalent here nowadays. Insurance companies fear himz because he's a good Lawyer with a grudge against them, and that makes for a dangerous enemy to face in a courtroom.

I would definitely be very apprehensive if i was a biker, there are far too much BS to distract car drivers today and that on top of the general turn towards stupid.
Okay not that bikers are much better, hell i have seen even they have a phone dock on the handlebar so they dont miss out of any cupcake pictures as they zip in between cars at top speed.

I do hope that 80 YO guy get his license revoked, cuz they just changed the rules so biannual health checks for old people are no longer needed.

Rules should be simple : Cause an accident = License Cancelled ! ( Any accident where U are at fault ) .
I don't care if 5 minutes latter they sit there Road Rules test , get their learners permit and than sit the driving test and pass as long as they do the 3 year probationary period .
Every time they are at fault , bye bye license .

I was happy when i got my C - CE stamps in the license ( trucks and trailers ) there was a few things that had faded into black, so nice to get those facts restored.
you are never too old to learn, especially when it come to things with such a possible effect on your own and other peoples well being and safety.

You can ask other people about pretty simple things in the traffic code, and they will come up with all manners of BS that never had any relation to what you asked about.
Many here dont know if you overtake, you still have to be under the MAX speed, some will say its okay to go 10% over the posted max speed to overtake  but the most i think do know they just dont give a damn.
Thats why i think traffic police having pulled over a person for some kind of wrong doing should cross examine that drive on the issue right there, and if the person are too clueless there should be some form of sanction in the law to deal with that.
Cops here actually do so some times, but they have nothing to do with the findings they get, so in fact if you have a license and get pulled over and fined for say running a red light, then i am pretty sure you can stand there and in all honesty say to the policeman that running a red light are okay according to the traffic code, and there will be nothing he can do about it.
Stupid should be sanctioned against on all levels of life and society, but maybe not / maybe do, go as far as in the old days where retarded people was sterilized by force to prevent them from breeding.

I still think we dont need licenses for junk ..
We desperately need a IQ test ...
Simply if you are too stupid ! You don't get to do stuff ! Like breed , own a dog or cat or gun , drive a car , get married , or leave school !
I guess it might be a hard ask for a 25 year old to still be in High School , but if you can't pass your EXIT exams ....
