Alternative rear view camera mounts?

Hi, I've sold my estate car and bought a convertible. Therefore, the rear window magnetic mount isn't really suitable anymore as with the roof down the camera is now pointing at the inside of my boot.

But the rear parcel shelf is always available, roof up or down.

Is there an alternative magnetic mount that would support the camera about 4 inches up off the parcel shelf?

The Rear Window Camera only has the magnetic adhesive window mount I'm afraid. We do not produce any alternative mounting systems for the RWC.

It's not difficult to solve the shortcomings of suppliers. Knock up your own bracket with VHB 3M tape or
neodymium magnets.

VHB 3M tape on custom folded aluminium bracket, use a heat gun to reduce stress cracking when folding aluminium with a block of wood to bend in bench vise. Be careful not to burn yourself in the process.

Neodymium magnets 30kg force north south pair. These magnets have a lot of "bite", keep your fingers out of the way.

About 3mm thickness of plastic trim between the two magnets, for a 7 inch GPS in about the right strength magnet.

Stiffening bar so device does not wobble.

I really only use the GPS in the outback so when I remove it from the dashboard there is nothing to see. I have two positions as well, one closer to the windscreen for weaker signal. Neodymium magnets are brilliant.
