Does anyone know how many amps the powerucc panorama II pulls? I checked the specs in the manual but it isn't in there.

Thanks
John

Thanks guys. That's a lot lower than I expected.

I'm hardwiring a cigarette lighter socket under my dash to power the cam only when the ignition is on (I don't need the parking mode). I've wired an inline fuse holder into the power line of the socket to protect the cam, but with that low a consumption any idea what fuse size should I use? 3amp?

Panorama II has THE Lowest power consumption from known premium class dashcameras.
3Amp fuse is optimal and what used in the cigarette lighter charger of Panorama II.

If Panorama II/S uses only about 0.3 amps so should 2A or 1A fuse be ok? Or even smaller?

160mAh parking / motion detection standby
190mAh driving / recording, lcd off
210mAh driving / recording + gps antenna, lcd off.

Stock cogarette lighter charger has 2Amp fuse, so I guess its most optimal to have.

More precise power consumption data for Panorama II S without GPS (firmware 1.12.06 2014-04-22 18:00).

Measurement voltage: 13.6v

Power consumption values fluctuate +-3mA.
These are the mean readings:
recording 1920x1080 30FPS with LCD off: 150 mA
recording 1920x1080 30FPS with LCD on: 170 mA
recording 1280x720 30FPS with LCD off: 110 mA
recording 1280x720 30FPS with LCD on: 132 mA
recording 1280x720 60FPS with LCD off: 140 mA
recording 1280x720 60FPS with LCD on: 162 mA
not recording with LCD on: 88 mA

Never had chance myself to check personally. Figures you provided are slightly lower than developer provided for me, I am very impressed that they are so low, which is even better ! - Those are THE lowest figures on the market by far away from other main competitors ! ;)

I guess developer dont want to jump over the shadow with over-advertising figures and saved a little value for "just in case", same way as actual max. working conditions of the unit where bench-test are done at +90C, but advertises +70C for "just in case".

I think its the right way to have some reserve with figures.
