Any benefits to ODB II vs hardwire

I'm planning to get Thinkware q800 and f800Rand curious if there are any benefits to using ODB II connection instead of hardwiring it
 
Ease of installation is one benefit. You won't need to test for correct circuits and use fuse taps. You do want to look at where your OBD2 port is located on your car to be sure the plug and attendant wiring won't be in your way ;)
