I'm looking for something cheap, but with good quality day and night, this seems to have it all, it uses an YI A12 dual core Processor and Sony Exmor CMOS sensor (mentioned here: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/202079279259), so that should be OK? Or better buy the grey international version ??

It needs to be mounted an a vertical glass screen behind my seat (in the midle of the truck's cabine) so it records me and the things that can be seen through the front and side windscreens.

The only downsides would seem to be no 1080/60 fps just 1080/30, but honestly I don't really need that, and it's only in Chinese, but through the app you can use English I believe?

Anyone here with experience with this Black Edition?

Hi D,
I have two and they are good if you can operate them as they are in Chinese.
Camerart.

Can settings be changed with an android app over wifi? Is the app in English?

Hi D,
From what I understand, yes they can.
In English, but even though I understand English, I don't understand it.
The author tells me that it is for a different camera than mine, but should still work.

Hi D,
Have you opened the APP yet, and do you understand how it works?
C

Don't have the camera yet.... But yes the app is in English as far as I can see.

The Yi is now 35 euros on Amazon, I think it is worth to buy it?

Hi D,
Should I start worrying yet?

I bought the Mijia from Xiaomi, and passed the Yi, sorry, I forgot about this thread.

I did do the review on the Mijia, and even though I like it, there are things to be dealt with, but I'm really not so sure Xiaomi is listening that good, as a matter of fact there's not much opportunities to get in contact with the right people.... At least I wasn't yet successful in that respect...

Hi D,
Perhaps you still can. If you understand how streaming works.
I've started a new thread here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/stream-xiaom-y1-smart-dashcam-to-computer.32623/

Ok, no probs. I was only messing about and I got interested.
Cheers, C.

Yes, with the phone, but I want to stream to a laptop with wifi dongle.

I mean on the PC / Laptop. Many camera's can be connected over the USB connection, and set to webcam mode. But I guess that's not what you want? I must be over WiFi?

Hi D,
I presume you mean connect the camera with a USB cable, which is how this camera would be used normally as a dashcam, but the reason for wifi is I'm trying to send over a distance.
