Anyone Re-hosted a Mobius in Flashlight Tube for waterproofing?

Hi.

I'm having no end of trouble trying to find a proper waterproof action camera for basic helmet mounting on a bike for the same price as a Mobius, which has the same quality as the Mobius - been looking at the F9 mini and SJ2000 for examples.

So I'm wondering if anyone has taken the gubbins out of the official camera body and re-hosted it in a torch body, or other alu tube, with the torches on/off button becoming the "start/Stop recording Mode 1" button - Or, if I can function a flashlight mode controller, a hold for on/off and press for start/stop.

Thinking of basing it on a new C2, and using the spare space in the torch body ( if there is one) to extend the battery life by some means.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I should have mentioned I'd seen that thread, and liked it as an experiment; concerns the exception that the PCB/gubbins still requires waterproofing.
I am considering the 5cm lens extension to allow me split the pcb/etc into the typical torch pills/splits as well to allow easier maintainance/access etc.
