APEMAN or Yi ?

The YI is overall a good camera for the money. Never used an Apeman, but one acquaintance has one, and every time I mentions dashcams he starts cussing about it 'damn thing stopped working, waste of money', etc.
 
APEMAN does budget-level cams, Yi does good cams. No personal experience with either but that's what I get from reading sources I trust. Not saying all budget-level cam companies are bad, just that some are ;)

For same price, ok, so Yi is more legit?
I'll go with Yi. More reviews as well.

I think Yi has better peer-to-peer support, a higher build quality, and more thorough development. Those things matter.

Yi does not allow +EV.
This is a huge negative.
