AR790 Wi Fi Connectivity Issue

Hi all,

New to this dash cam malarky, I have purchased the AR790, and have had it installed, the device works in as much as it is recording, I can transfer and view the clips on my mac. however I cannot get the QVIA app to work properly, I have downloaded it and whenever I try to open it I get the following message,

Connection Error
Can not read the Device info. Please check the Device SSID (XXXX) and wi-fi connections may not operate smoothly.

on my camera I have a red wi-fi light which if I understand correctly means the wi-fi is turned on, however it should I presume connect to my device and turn blue once this happens I should be able to connect through the app to change settings etc

any thoughts as to how I resolve this issue?
