AV out cable from camera to computer monitor.

I have an A119 that has an A/V socket and an Asus monitor with an A/V socket. I know basically very little about these connections. I would think that all I need is a A/V cable with 2 male ends to connect one to the other but am not sure. I have read here on DCT that connecting AV components one would need different type of cables that appear to be analog cables, however it seems to be a problem with wiring discrepancies with these type cables.
Is the one cable with male to male connectors all I need or what?
