.avi video corrupted in Adobe Premiere Pro

Hi. I am editing some dash video for a friend using Premiere Pro cloud. When I try to bring the video into a project it says the video is corrupted. Same thing when I try to load it into Adobe Media Encoder. I can watch the video fine using windows media player and my friend can load it into windows movie maker. Suggestions?

Try HandBrake to convert to a different format and see if that helps.
