I have just done hardwire kit on my b1w dashcam. I plug it into a 20A fuse in the car that is always on. After running the cam for around 10 minutes, I touch the cam and felt it to be quite warm. Based on my own estimation by touching it, I think the temperature is around 45c. Is that normal for this cam?

If there is a spare 10A fuse socket, it will be better for this camera. B1W camera working voltage and current is about 5V/0.32A with WiFi on.

Most dashcams run about 20°C above ambient, I think B1W is normally a bit less than that if the wifi is off.

Since you live somewhere hot, you might want to install the firmware that defaults to wifi off.

(10A or 20A fuse should make no difference to the temperature, it will only use what it needs.)

@abubin All cams will feel very warm in hot weather, but the B1W has proven to handle use in hotter climates quite well, so just leave the wifi off and don't worry about it.
