If Magic Pro EZ uses ODP to get the energy, why can't batteries like Cellink Neo do the same? So I don't need to hardwire it or use the cigarette outlet?

current draw is too high for the OBD port

The current draw for my dual camera was displayed to be 0.3A. The draw for a Neo starts at 5A. I don't know the max current draw for the OBD II port but I'd never draw more than 500ma @ 12v just because I am paranoid.

A couple of amps was what i would guess, the OBD port are diagnostics port, probably on the smallest fuse in the car.
I would only recommend anyone to take power from it as a absolute last resort.
