I need a dual dash cam for mainly insurance purposes and to just take videos of when it's beautiful out when I'm driving .I don't do much driving though (I live 5 minutes from where I work), but I was involved in a huge accident earlier this year and I will also be taking a 2+ hour trip in the next couple months for unrelated medical purposes, so it will be invaluable to have a dashcam in case I'm in an accident on roads I am 0% familiar with.

Maybe something compact/slim, like the long skinny ones Blackvue has or the ones that mount near your rearview mirror so I don't lose windshield space. I have a Garmin DriveSmart from some years ago but the image quality of that is terrible.

Not really sure what else I should be considering, but I'm not going to be hardwiring it. Street Guardian is one that looks like it has good image quality. Is there anything new and exciting out though? H.265 video?
