Best cell phone for Dash Cam use?

I've been struggling with my LG P990 as a dashcam for way too long now, I can't get it to record at 30fps with 3rd party android apps, so I decided to either buy a dedicated dash cam, or go for a good camera phone, so, the big Q is

What's the BEST android phone for Dash Cam use?

I want to use it with VideoReg since it has an automatic Night Mode and a feature called Exposure Compensation. I need that, because I also drive by night, so if anything, I need good recordings.

Anyone please jump in if you have any good results on that......

I think iPhone would be the best choice, but other brands like Samsung, HTC desire are doing good as well. Now the 4G mobile broadband has also added to the support for remote controlling of home appliances from anywhere as well.
