best setting for split videos?

The mini0906 can be set to record split video files of 1 minute or 3 or 5 (?) minutes.

What is the point behind this setting?
What is your setting?

Did someone experience bad things with either setting?
 
the videl length can be set to 1 or 3 or 5 or 10.
we suggest to set 1 or 3.
when set short looping, there will be many files in card, it is not easy to find the one you want.
when set long looping, each file will be big, it will take more tiem and space to backup. In extreme battery fail the whole file will be interrupted.
