BlackSys CF-100 firmware question

Another thread prompted me to look at the BlackSys firmware update page again and I noticed that there was a newly dated firmware release available for download - CF-100 Firmware M1.2_EN.

I am currently running CF-100 Firmware V2.3B_EN, (or "A" version, I cannot remember).

Anyway, I sent an email to their support to see if CF-100 Firmware M1.2_EN is indeed a new and updated firmware release and is intended for this model. I am not sure what the V vs M means and am a little afraid to run it because the version number is different (and lower), and am waiting for more info.

Has anyone here with the CF-100 installed CF-100 Firmware M1.2_EN? It was just released on 05-21-2014.

So I unpacked the .tar file and it does contain seven files like the v2.3B firmware package did. I might go for it but am a little worried about bricking my camera.

Dates on some of the files are quite recent.
