blacksys cf100 2ch
Finally I bought blacksys cf100 2ch but now I need to know where I can find the power wire to put the unit in the actual parking mode. I searched this forum but didn't find much info about this and searched Blacksys website but got no detailed info as well. The following website:
http://www.blacksys.nl/en_GB/a-39667281/spare-parts-accessories/dc-fuse-power-cable/
tells that DC fuse power cable is not good for cf100
"Not for CW-100/CF-100! For these 2 models you should use the P-Save Cable."
and it recommends P-save cable. Does anybody have experience of it and share the buying info?
Really appreciate your reply

Any battery drain prevention device will work. I have a link to the one I got for my cf100 at the beginning of my install post, in my signature. Basically you just need a device that will provide power when the key is off but then cut that power when the vehicle battery drops below a certain level (mine is set at 12.2v) and/or a certain time limit.

Hi Gibson99,
thanks a lot for your quick response. reading through your earlier post, very helpful. Meanwhile, I found the following on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00JFUU87G
I think it will serve the same purpose. Appreciate your info

Just to confirm, I've just installed a Blacksys CF-100 with the same BDP, works well and the LED's on it are a great feature during the install.

It turns out my ford explorer power outlet provides constant power even after the engine is off. In this case, I don't need to hard-wire my cf-100 to battery and parking mode is always enabled when my explorer has stopped for 5 minutes. The only concern is that it won't prevent power drain so I have to unplug when my car is in my garage. Hope this power-drain prevention is built in with the dashcam

No, the cf100 does not have built in battery drain prevention. That's why they have a warning in the manual.

The new ch100b apparently DOES have protection built in, but it's also much more expensive.
