I currently have a Blackvue 900S-2CH plugged into the ODB port using the Conecta ODB plug to have power with the ignition off for parking mode. This lasts for around 12 hours before the low voltage cutout kicks in to save the car battery.

I’m thinking of getting the Blackvue B124 battery but don’t want to hardwire it for best charging time as opposed to the cigarette lighter which takes twice as long to charge the battery. Has anyone tried connecting it via the ODB port for charging? Would the ODB port give the same charge rate as hardwiring?

I wouldn't trust the OBD port to output 9 Amps of current. I know that it has to be rated to at least 4 amps but 9 is very far from 4.
