Amazon UK also now has the upcoming Blackvue Elite series (Elite 8 and Elite 9) for pre-order;

Amazon Release date 19th October 2025
BlackVue Elite 8 - 1 channel 64GB (£349.95)

BlackVue Elite 8 - 2 channel 64GB (£449.95)

Amazon Release date 19th August 2025
BlackVue Elite 9 - 1 channel 64GB (£449.95)

BlackVue Elite 9 - 2 channel 64GB (£549.59)

They appear to be placeholder pages, as they don't have any details about the cameras and just generic stock photo.

Here is the product brochure for the Elite 8, but there are currently no details of what the Elite 9 is or it's differences (thanks to Rossm812 on RDforum for the brochure)

I'm seeing dates of 10th October for the Elite 8, and August 10th for the Elite 8. Both in 2025 too 🙂

You're right, I missed that they had different dates.
I've updated original post.

It seems Blackvue removed all content about the Elite 8 from their website and social media platforms. Wonder why?

WHAT the heck is going on with Blackvue?? Pushing 2K video as something to brag about? Who's running this company?

The rear is upgraded from 1080p to 2k.
The front is downgraded from 4k to 2k.

Higher resolutions have more issues with quality and lighting. 2k will have better low light than 4k.
So maybe they're making a more affordable, consistent camera with equal quality on both cameras for a better compromise.
For example, the old DR750S had good low light when using at night. That was 1080p. When they upgraded to 4K with the DR900S, the low light was very poor and almost fully black unless you had a light source, and even then it was still very poor.

I'm not saying which is right or wrong, just adding my opinion on their possible motives.

I believe this is intended to be an improvement over their 1080p 770X series lineup.

Not sure what their higher end 4K variants are gonna be called.

It is odd to see the Elite 9 be listed as a 1080p model while the Elite 8 is a 2K model. Usually higher number = better specs.

On a related note, Blackvue just released the DR770X-2CH II that starts at $347. Selling a 2CH 1080p cam for $350 in 2025 is utterly absurd IMO. I get that it's got cloud features built in over WiFi, sure, but if you really want to use the cloud, you're looking at another $135 for the CM100G LTE.

The Elite 8 2CH starts at $399, but is on sale at launch for $339. It uses a pair of 2K IMX675's front and rear, a big step up from the previous 1080p options (especially for Blackvue's previous rear 1080p potato cam), but you've also got options like the A229 Plus 2CH that's $250 and currently on sale for $199 and it uses the same sensors front and rear. (The 3CH version is currently selling for $239.) The Elite 8 adds a new low power parking mode which is great, and sure it supports the cloud stuff if you need it, but again it still feels overpriced relative to the competition.

I would love to test. that low power parking mode.....

I may be wrong, but I think the Elite 8 is standard model (external LTE module - CM100GLTE), with Elite 9 being the in-built LTE model
