Blackvue DR750s-2CH
Hey guys, I have been using the 650s-2ch for a few days now, and while I am looking over the videos, I notice the quality of the videos drops while in parking mode. It becomes blurry after say ~15min of parking mode on. This happens during daylight and I have the Poliriser Lens on if that makes a difference? The dashcam connects to the Cellink -B Battery pack. The memory card I have used is the 32gb original by Pittasoft, and then I have tried the Lexar 128GB 633x and it does the same thing, starts out clear during normal recording, then parking mode becomes blurry.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm from Australia Vic, so it's summer right now around 30 degrees Celsius. Is it a heat problem?
Quite possibly, park out in full sun and you'll see close to 70c, running the camera in those conditions can easily exceed what its capable of

I see, it does get very very hot in this weather. I will try parking mode in cool weather and report back. Thanks! :)

Indeed, same as mine, it appears that the BlackVue camera's lenses do not respond favourably to heat, causing expansion and hence changing the focus onto the image sensor. It seems the BlackVue is probably not the best choice for Australian conditions, unfortunately.

Same problem in Denmark in Europe. I have returned a DR650GW-2CH because of this issue (which I bought summer 2016 and had NO PROBLEMS AT ALL for about 11 months, but in the late spring/early summer 2017 it got blurry due to heat in parking mode). Then I got a refund a bought a brand new DR650S-2CH and it started immediately with having problems. I sent the video footage of one of the episodes where it got more and more blurry, and they replied that it was a problem and I should make a RMA and get a refund or an exchange (like last). So now I'm waiting for the new one.

Here's an example

Again (worst example, as you can see how it focuses on the dust particles inside the windshield)

Here is the blurry video of my DR650GW-2ch. The temperature is about 37c, it is within the range indicated on the operating manual. Contact the blackvue and was told its normal. WTF.

if the outside temp is 37°c the inside temp can be anything up to 45°c above that depending on the conditions at the time

I have not had any issues with my thinky at 35.8C outside temps, glad I didn't get blackvue, a shame as it spoils an otherwise excellent camera

Well..... unlucky me then... just bought (and installed with hardwiring) the 650S-2ch. Can anybody confirm if this issue persists after the temp. comes down below... fx. 25c or if the lens is permanently damaged by the heat inside the car?

If that's the case, i'll be RMA'ing my device in brief time due to the heat in my car then left for 8 hours every day in direct sunlight..

I believe i've read somewhere that Operating Temp could go up to... 60C? Am i wrong?

i stumbled over this video today... it's for the 500/550GW-series but would probably be applicable to the 650s too.

FYI
