This is not a question, but I thought it would be useful as an easy to search for post.

The answer is:

Permanent Power: Use the ODB (5A) fuse. That's F27 on my MINI but that might vary.

This circuit remains live for > 12 hours under my tests, so safe to presume it is truly a permanent live.

For the +ACC (ignition) line, I have not found the best one yet. However, the radio fuse (20A, F6 on mine) powers down 30 mins after parking the vehicle. It does seem to power up for various random reasons like opening the doors. It seems adequate, but I am going to search for a better fuse this week. I'll update this post if I find a better option. Bearing in mind you probably won't get the AddACircuit tap into the right side column of fuses as the fuse box door curves in close to these.
