Brake check accident -court?

Sorry!! Heres a twist lol. I don't know how it all happened, but when I got to the courthouse on the day of the trial, a friend of mine that does security said the other party was escorted out of the building just before I got there.
He heard the prosecutor say something to the effect of, "I'm tied of the lies. This is my case and I'll dismiss it!"
So after all that, they dismissed my case and my insurance denied her claim and all that. It was definitely a relief!

Glad it all worked well for you. That doesn't always happen though which is the main reason I got my first dashcam- to prevent harm to me from lies and collusion's.
Rather than doing what I see a lot of on YouTube and continuing on as if there's no danger, when I see an idiot on the road I give them space to do their stupidity with someone else, not me. I want my cam to show that not only did I do no wrong, but also that I'm a careful driver who makes every effort to spot and avoid problems. That will not only solidify my defense, but clearly show that the other driver either intentionally endangered me or that their negligence reached a level of reckless endangerment, which opens to door to having criminal charges and civil liability suits filed against them
After that much, they will probably lose their license which will hopefully make the roads a safer place for everybody

Yeah.
I am 100% okay paying for my mistakes not least when i have a insurance company that " have my back" even if i acknowledge getting off free is to be preferred.
I also got into dashcams as a safeguard against other peoples fraudulent claims, which is about the norm these days, not least the cyclists as they are a unique protected species here, but as they are not hunted they are not endangered so there is plenty of them and most are taking full advantage of their protected status and so care little for the traffic rules applying to cyclists.
But i an not paying a fine and retaking my driving exam due to some spandex clad idiot on a cycle being the sole reason to why i touched him with my car.
