Okay, lights off, plugged into a house plug with output 5.0v 1000mA

red lights came on blinked three or four times with three beeps and shut off

The red lights blink followed by three beeps, it does this four times and shuts off. Small red power light on top is on. What do I try next?

You said you tried #3 (power supply) but what about the other troubleshooting steps?

The beep shutdown usually means no memory card, or a bad memory card is inserted.

I switched the default setting to "1" and reinserted card before trying the usb power on the trike. Using the same memory card I started with

Should I go and get a different memory card b4 trying anything else? Even though this one was recording when the camera ran?

Do you see a red LED power light at the top of the alien head?
Well even if you end up getting a replacement, you shouldn't use the SanDisk card so maybe try not using the Sandisk card first and we'll go from there.

The Sandisk is the only one I have at the moment except for a 64GB no name and it would not format to fat32 says exFat or ntfs?

I wouldn't trust no-name, this camera is very sensitive to low speed or sandisk cards

Windows won't format the card FAT32, you need a 3rd party program to do that

Okay, so I'm on hold til I get another card. BestBuy has Pixton Pny or Sandisk looking as I type.

PNY - 32GB microSDHC Class 10 UHS-I Memory Card - Multi

Sony - 32GB microSDHC Class 10 UHS-I Memory Card - Black

Either of these okay?

Get transcend 32GB from Amazon if possible.

No experience with Sony cards.

33GB will not need special formatting. 64GB will need special formatting
