I just fired up the 0906 and I get almost no sound and a lot of buzzing. Power source makes no difference (I also tried USB battery bank)
Also, rear camera just flipped the image upside down in the middle of recording.
GPS lock very slow, took about 15 minutes this morning.
I just realized that there is a log. Here is the relevant portion from when the "flip" occurred:

Dont have this issue here, audio on both A and B videos are normal.

turn the mic off, if it's dead silent when it's off but you have that buzzing when it's on then it's likely a faulty mic
some of mini 0805 has this issue. But i didnt know what it is. it seems on 0906 now. :)

OK, so it seems like the mic is dead or damaged - bummer.

So far, good audio front and rear here. No, buzz or hum.

Background noise is dead quite during recordings.

Any suggestions where I can source a new microphone?

There is a thread somewhere in the 0806 section where someone fitted an external microphone to record what was going on outside the car... just needs a little soldering.

One time I got a GPS status screen. maybe it can be useful. (First firmware)
I'm using the last firmware now, so I don't know if the screen have been removed and I can't remember how I got it, I just play with the cam.

Press and hold OK while turning on ;)

Now the question is how do you get out from the GPS status screen?

Why would you want to? :ROFLMAO:

It's a beautiful colourful screen, with lots of interesting information :)

If only we knew what it means, what do the different colours tell us? What does the height of the bars mean?

Do you mean there are colors? I see red bars only :)

Those red bars are telling you something, but is red good or bad o_O
I guess the tall green ones are the good ones
But maybe short green ones are also good

Hi Lac,
you can get a 38DB microphone and solder it onthe board yourself. Sorry I didn't login otherwise we will ship you MICs together with new lens.
the microphone size is 4mm diameter, the height is not limited and the original is 1.5mm height.

the microphone is very sensitive so please keep it away from your hear dryer ;)

GPS signal less than 25, read (un-usable)
from 26 to 30, yellow (warning)
from 31 to 35, green (acceptable)
higher than 36, blue (good)

we usually get 2 blue bars here.
and the bottom number under bars is satellite id

Maybe something like this would work? Sensitivity is not published but it could work...
