Anyone able to tell me if the battery pack for the LK-7900 has to be connected to car battery. I'm concerned about it messing up my Passat electrical system.

Do you mean the LK530?

This can be connected via cig plug to you car's cig socket and won't cause any problems with your electrical system. If you permanently wire it to a fuse then this also won't cause a problem if you do it properly.

LK-7900 newest model. My plan would be to use camera in different vehicles. I'd like to have portable battery pack that can be recharged. Is this product available?

Lk530, check it out on the Lukas site

As suggested I ordered Lk530. I'll get back to forum when I receive it. Thanks
