- Black Box G1W-B
I've had a G1W-B for a while and it was never hard-wired. I am going to hardwire it. I have two choices (and I already have parts to do either):
1) Connect a cigarette female adapter to an Add-a-Circuit and plug the cam into the adapter using the cam's male cigarette adapter (which contains a 2 amp fuse).
2) Connect a 12v-to-5v reducer to an Add-a-Circuit and use a USB cable to plug the cam into the reducer.
I would rather implement Option #2. However, my fuse box uses mini blade, low profile fuses. The smallest factory-installed fuse is 5 amp. It is next to impossible to find a low profile 2 amp fuse. Also, the smallest fuse that came with the Add-a-Circuit is 5 amp. Is it safe to use a 5 amp fuse on the Add-a-Circuit?
