Cant get rear camera to work

I connect my rear camera to X 500 and it has a blank screen, It wont work. When I disconnect the rear camera and restart the dash cam it shows rcording on the screen . Any one have this problem or no what my problem is?

I called thinkware today and they said the camera was bad.They said the would change it for me or I should return it where I bought it.
