Hello,

i plan to buy a battery pack and i want to connect it via the cigarette lighter to my car. But i dont know if it will trigger parking mode, if i connect the viofo a329s with the cigarette lighter to the battery pack.

Can someone confirm that it will work in parking mode if the input is over cigarette lighter and the output over the HK6 cable to the dashcam?

And which battery pack would you recommend? Should i wait for the upcoming viofo battery pack for better compability?

It should work as long the cigarette lighter output has no power when you turn off the ignition. Parking mode will only enabled during the discharge phase.

I use a Blackvue B-130X battery together with two A329S/T and two HK6. Works perfect.

Viofo offers also a special HK6 version with disabled battery protection. With those you can use the whole power of the dashcam battery.

I hardwired my battery directly to my car battery together with an extra fuse and a relais which close/open on ignition. This way i could use a bigger wire gauge and don't have to go over the car fuse terminal.

Hardwired the battery can charge faster as with the cigarette lighter.

I think every dedicated dashcam battery pack would work. Only thing you should check, is the wiring colour. Viofo using red for 12V+ and yellow for ignition 12v+. Often battery packs, especially from blackvue using the colour opposite.

I made some custom cable by myself. Works great so far. Originally i uses a blackvue dashcam but now switched to the viofo.

This will work fine with the 70mai battery pack.
It will trigger the outputs just like a normal fuse box.
A329S with HK-4 works with the 70mai battery pack.

If you have time, yes.
Viofo will allow you to connect two battery packs for a longer recording time. 70mai can't do this.
Viofo will also have app support and more settings from what I saw in a few posts here.

I have no experience with the Celllink.
