Correct - viewing on a mobile phone compresses the video due to a smaller screen resolution.
Then taking a screenshot of a compressed image compresses it even further.
For example - the Vivo X200 has a resolution of 2800 x 1260, whereas the raw video is 4K at 3840 x 2160. So you've already got almost 50% compression just by viewing it that way.
My Samsung phone has the option to take full resolution screenshots of any content in my gallery. It will just take the frame from the video and save it.
I don't know if the Vivo also has the same option.

i will try my samsung phone

But there is one problem. Your screenshot time is different from mine. Mine seems to be ahead of you, so. Can the same time be intercepted according to the ground white line
No problem.
I didn't promise to make screenshots that would match yours 100%.
I simply compared two frames taken from your videos.

thx very much and can u post other two dashcam
70mai a810pro and blackvue elite10

Will this work?
If I had a 4K monitor, the numbers would be easier to read.

Lighting conditions vary, especially at night with streetlights and oncoming cars. There will always be occasions where one dashcam gives a better result than another. 5 or 10 seconds later a different dashcam may be better.

The best dashcam will have consistent good performance in a range of lighting and motion situations.

I completely agree with you and would like to add that the results will also depend on the dashcam's installation location and the lens angle.
In the situation shown in the photos above, almost all models with HDR will show more or less identical results, although perhaps in different frames.

@Karagandinez @indigo Did @Karagandinez receive the unmodified video from all the dashcams? I am curious @Karagandinez input on how all 4 did in comparison to reading plates (whether at that exact frame or a few frames ahead)....

@Karagandinez

Viofo was able to produce a readable plate using HDR on the vehicle passing to the left, whereas the vueroid had an advantage due to placement in this situation, but failed here. The Vueroid did a better job with the black vehicle plate, but the plate wasn't readable from any camera.

The last photos you posted, @Karagandinez, provide a great comparison.
Based on those images at that point in time, I have to agree with @indigo that Vueroid stands out with the best overall image quality.

They all do a good job, but the Vueroid has the edge when it comes to still images. On the right side of the frame, there is a red sign on a wall, the Vueroid keeps it sharp while the others blur it, a long-time pet peeve of mine.
I’m sure some would argue it’s due to HDR, but at the end of the day, the "why" doesn’t matter from a customer’s perspective.

I still can't understand how all those cameras are on the same windscreen, yet the Vueroid looks closer to the car in front. Is that a result of FOV?

vueroid is placed on the far left
I also find what you said quite strange. Maybe it's because of the different shots?
i also send all video to viofo
They admitted that the optimization for capturing license plates in the right front was insufficient and would continue to improve, but they said that for this scenario, the a119mpro would perform better

Please don't misunderstand me.
I understand you did all the hard work.
@Karagandinez helped in the way he presented your work.

Seeing full screen captures helped me better understand the results.

I don't understand what you mean here - "I also find what you said quite strange. Maybe it's because of the different shots?"
Can you say it another way?

In these screenshots, I wanted to show the legibility of the license plates to the left of the car from which the photo was taken.
However, when screenshots are published, their quality fluctuates and is not always consistent across all screenshots. This is what causes the discrepancies.
The original screenshots can be downloaded from the link below.
