Official Powerucc links

Powerucc on Twitter - mostly link to customer videos from around the world. Worth a look to see "real" video examples. Remember to view videos in HD where possible.
Official specifications and product photos
Video tutorials showing menu operation
English Manual download
Car Recorder Player download (Spoiler: it's pretty basic ;))
"Official" Firmware links (but better off sticking with Niko's links [below])

Large capacity SDXC cards confirmed as working (where possible, stick to full-sized SD cards):
Samsung 64G SDXC pro MB-SGCGB/CN - Good success rate by different users
SanDisk 64GB SDXC (UHS-1) - tested as working by Niko, but SanDisk tend to be temperamental with dashcams.
MicroSD cards
MicroSD Samsung 64GB SDXC (UHS-1) - tested as working by Niko
Transcend 64GB MicroSDXC Class10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter 45 MB/s (TS64GUSDU1E)

How to format exFAT cards to FAT32
Some people have had mixed success with the two tutorials. Try Niko's first and post your success in his thread first.

Niko's Firmware links and reviews

v1.12.06 12 / 15/ 18Mbps
-- WDR is tuned a little bit,
- also background "purple noise" reduced at night, but this led to darker video at night
- colour contrast is slightly tuned, colours are not that "strong" as before, especially yellow.
- at daytime it looks like brightness also added a little bit.
- Comparison thread

Calibrated G-Sensor Firmware with multiple bitrates
- Updated g-sensor sensitivity. Early reports indicate that the new "low" setting is more acceptable for daily road use.
- Available in multiple bitrates as per previous firmware. Niko's 12/15/18/21 Mb/s comparison videos and photos HERE

15 / 18 / 21Mbps Bit-rate Firmware Panorama II / S
- Three different firmware upgrades to increase the bitrate from default 12Mb/s to 15, 18, or 21 Mb/s
- Niko's 12/15/18/21 Mb/s comparison videos and photos HERE

v1.12.03 (01/03/14)
- Same firmware as v1.12.04 below, but disables the front-facing LED

v1.12.04 Panorama II / Panorama S
- User Interface changes
- First firmware of the new Panorama S, perhaps?

v1.12.02 vs v1.11.13 vs v1.08.05
- Good night vision recording from v1.08.05
- Gps time zone settings + files folders from v1.11.13
- New start-up logo and new main menu interface design ( icons )

v1.11.13 (beta) versus v1.08.05
- Comparison thread featuring videos and photos

v1.11.13
- GPS time shift issue resolved and new "Time Zone" option added into menu.
- Creates 3 separate folders to the SD card
- EVENT for Motion detection or G-Sensor activated videos
- JPEG for Photos
- VIDEO for Normal video recording
- Each video file now has time and date it was created
- Violet background at night video recording now gone.

Hey Niko, this thread is a patently great idea - do you think it could benefit further if it was made sticky? (so that it stays at the top of the list, regardless if people have posted in it recently) ?

Thanks Niko, updated the OP with link to two previous firmwares, plus your comparison thread.

Thanks. Ot was acrually @lankyduke idea of such a thread, so all credits to him ;)

Your idea is also good @ to have it "sticky" ( always at the top ). We will see what can be done.

Thanks.

No problem gents.
This thread has already been stickied/pinned ;)

If anyone has anything they want added to the FAQ, just post here and I'll edit it in.

Excellent Sticky, should definitely be updated with the new V1.12.06 firmware and Comparison test @niko just whipped together. We just got in a fresh batch that have the new BLACK colored metal support ring (no more silver) for optional magnetic CPL filter.

I would like to recommend either a Panorama G FAQ be added separately or included in this FAQ. It appears to be different enough that, while much of it applies, some does not.

Whats the loop cyles on the G. is it the traditional 1,2,3,5 minute or is there a substantial option like 10 min loop?

would a ten min loop cycle be exclusive to a new model or just a firmware update?

is a closed cycle just one single shot cycle. i am thinking for is i want to take some film on gps for rally etc. and seeing the whole footage and gps etc for more than 5 mins.
