I imagine there will be a few happy DR550 users out there :D

Have you got a direct link to the English 550 thread alexsoll ?

we have a lot of money spent to achieve the result, therefore, priority right will be those who donated to the project customization

Sorry I'm slightly confused.... You want people to donate to look at an English thread on your forum?

I originally asked if you had a direct thread (In English) that folk here can look at. This would no doubt help you get more people using the custom firmware and potentially increase your "donations". If we have nothing to read then nobody will know about the firmware (unless they are Russian).

Would this be easily adaptable for the DR500GW?

alexsoll - is this custom firmware available or do you have to donate in order t get it. I just bought the DR550GW-2CH and i'm debating if I should cancel the order. My concern is the quality of the recording. and if this custom firmware fixed the issues then i'm interested. Your advice is appreciated.
original beta-custom firmware here http://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/custom-firmware-blackvue-dr550gw-2ch.4749/#post-56659
when the firmware is ready, I will notify users

Thanks for the response. I wish I could read the language but I cant find a translator. Do you know the ETA for this custom firmware? I would love to donate but don't want to spend a year waiting for a custome firmware that will improve the quality.

thanks i'll give that a try.

I've visited and viewed the Custom Firmware thread. Question. Perhaps it is a translation to English issue, however, what is the "CERTAIN" amount $$ ???

Just trying to understand what expectations are.

Thanks

Nice that it is cracked, maybe Pittasoft will release regular firmware with it (if the cameras do not overheat).

I am wondering if they will release an updated version of the 550 ?? maybe the 570 ??

Also do we know if this new firmware makes the camera run any hotter ?

I believe the amount mentioned was around $10-$30
I'm willing to donate translation services LOL ... was holding off buying the 550 till the custom firmware gets sorted, but it has been a while, so unlikely to go for it now.
Thanks Dave,
So, if I might ask, what are you using?
