Dash cam footage but day is wrong.

Was in a minor accident, had it on dashcam after reviewing the recording the ''day'' of the month is wrong (month and year are fine) and I am about to send it to insurers? Should I crop bottom? Or can it still be used to support claim?

I would NOT edit the footage at all as that will cast doubt on it. Submit it as is and explain the day stamp is incorrect.

raqball is correct. Do not edit video you send to the insurance company in any way. If your matter goes to court the defendants lawyer can use any small alteration to the video against you.

Ditto the above- the recorded incident itself will show the veracity of the recording but not if you alter it in any way. Time and date-keeping isn't the best with these devices and with some cams it is worse than a lazy procrastinator with an hourglass The vid itself is what matters and I hope yours helps you get things settled well and quickly.

Don't edit it. Create a new video of a clock with date (for example your cell phone) to document the exact offset, and submit that along with the crash video
