Dash Cam
Viofo A329s 3CH, FNT/RR/INT, HK6
Hello folks.

I've never owned or used a dash cam and have been looking into all the choices and technology
for years, never getting to the point of making a purchase. Almost 100% of my web-based research
has lead me to this site, so here I am, finally joining.

I've been reading and lurking of and on for years and finally decided it is time to make a choice
and but one, yet I'm still deciding!

Thank you to all the people contributing content!

Welcome to the forum Finnegan.

You should be looking for systems with the Sony starvis 2 sensors ( IMX 675 for 1440p resolution and IMX 678 for 4K )
Stay away from battery for emergency power systems ( capacitors instead )
And get a 256 GB memory card ( make sure it is a brand / model supported by who ever you go with )

Thank you @kamkar - my lurking has lead me to the same conclusions. 😉

I am currently leaning toward the Viofo A329s 2CH (front/rear) and either a 256GB or 512GB card.
It is not out yet but might become available in July 2025, so maybe soon?
And I can't even find the HK6 on the Viofo site yet, but I have been checking every day.

The new Viofo stuff look to be nice indeed, but i am not privy to testing or sampling it as i am just a regular Joe with no big following i can influence, and i totally understand Viofo want to play the big table and leave toddlers like myself on the side.
But i have sampled a few Viofo cameras over time and it have always been a very easy job CUZ they just do their thing, another important thing service and support, both seem to be things Viofo do well in too, though you can probably also find people that would say the exact opposite.
But from looking in here over the past + decade i have only seem them play nice.

Not sure when they are to release fully, but it cant be long.

512 GB is not a bad idea, i am currently sampling another brand dual 4 K system + interior 1080p, i can see that my test suite of just about 15 256 GB cards need to be expanded on soon.
