Hi all,

I'm looking for a dash cam that has guided back up capabilities (switches to back camera, with guided lines, when in reverse). I know the general consensus is that I should get 2 separate cameras, but the below 2 that I've tried researching look pretty solid (as far as I can tell). My budget would be ~$100 USD.

I know most people recommend getting the A119 wedge cam, but in that case, have any of you had any experience with good back up cameras? I'd preferably like to stay away from adding a new monitor just for the back up camera. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I think those the rear camera only have backup feature i dont think its recorded when you drive, so in essence its just a single dashcam.

Your car entertainment system may support a reversing camera, i know my aftermarket cheap Chinese 2DIN headunit do, but even if so it may have to be a "special" camera and not a generic one.
Its not legal here to replace your mirror with something like that

From what I've read, those 2 do record the rear camera when you drive, though it is only at 480p. I'm okay without rear camera recording capabilities--just would like the back up assistance :) and unfortunately, entertainment system doesn't have a screen. I haven't seen anyone recommend mirror dash cams, so I'm a little wary. I'm sure the dedicated dash cams are better at recording, but do you know if the mirror ones are still a solid pick? Thanks!

Yeah dont matter much about the rear camera.
While i myself are a multi dashcam fan i fully realize that you are probably good with just 1 camera on the windscreen.
These systems dont seem to have many users in here, but as i understand it they are popular out east, but as to what makes and models are popular i dont know.
