Hey everyone. In the market for a capacitor Dash cam. I live in a desert and hot state so would need one that would function properly with little to no issue.

Was looking at the B40/A118 but not sure if there is other suggestions out there for a quality video and dash cam.

Budget: $200 +/-

Thanks!

capacitor is part of the equation and definitely a step in the right direction, you still need a camera that is designed for hot environments, metal lens etc

A118-C seems to be an OK cam and the price is attractive. StreetGuardian, Mobius, and Lukas are all better choices with different form factors and price points. Mini 08xx has had a lot of issues but may be sorted out by now. The JooVuu "X" cam which is almost on the market could also provide a good choice but has only it's 'beta' track record to go by (though it is a good one so far).

Remember that you don't get what you don't pay for so avoid the temptation to go for anything cheaper which will disappoint you greatly. And welcome to DCT and the dashcam world :)

Phil
