Hi, I was reading through this thread: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/dashcams-with-wireless-transfer-when-you-get-home.16641/ but I didn't get the answer I wanted. Is there any webcam on the market, regardless of price, that offers built in WiFi and sync with a cloud storage service?

I currently use two old smartphones with the Open Camera app to record each day when I drive for Lyft. I back up every single clip to my Google Photos and my Amazon Cloud. I have WiFi in my car and at home, so while it's not 'live' per se clips are usually uploaded by the time the current roll is finished filming.

I don't want a repeat of the thread posted above where you guys debate the practicality of WiFi cams, I just want to know if one exists! I'll pay whatever it costs if it does what I need it to do...

Thanks so much! :)

I think Xiaomi's rearview mirror dashcam will have such options.

Sorry to revive an old thread... But I have the exact same question. And I figured 3 years later there might be a better solution. Has anyone figured out how to upload directly from a dash cam to google photos?

Thanks
Ben

I believe Thinkware and Blackvue cameras offer cloud backup, but they require an internet connection. I don't believe any camera out there offers stand alone internet service. All only offer "Wifi Transfer" to pull off files directly through their app. Meaning, for this type of storage to work, without relying upon internal storage, you'd need a hardwired hotspot within your vehicle to run at all times.
