Hi,

Just got a new Transcend DrivePro 250 together with the rear camera DrivePro 10.

When streaming the front videos from the DrivePro250 nothing works like Map, Graph, Dashboard window. No speed, no correct map location. I am sitting at 0.0° and 0.0° in the center of the Atlantic.

What is wrong ?

Thanks and regards Rainer

DashCam Viewer from here https://dashcamviewer.com/

My Old DrivePro 220 saved two files. One for the video and one for the GPS data. The DrivePro 250 saves only one file and the GPS data is embedded in the video file. I assume DashCam Viewer can not extract the GPS data from the video. In the compatibility list the Drive Pro 250 is not listed there. Only 220, 230, etc.

Yes the model are probably not supported, in general Traveler are fast to fix problems like that if you share a couple of files with him

I will tag him in. @traveler

Personally i have not used dedicated dashcam players for many years, in a few years i lost interest in seeing where i drive as i very well know where i am driving.

@rsfoto Sorry, I’m not familiar with the 250. Perhaps the GNSS data encoding scheme has changed. If you send me one or two raw videos from your 250 (and any ancillary GPS files, if present) I will examine them. You can send me large files using https://wetransfer.com

Thanks,
John

Hi John,

On Saturday I sent you a wetransfer link to your e-mail.

Here it is again https://we.tl/t-a0eLq14lyu

Thanks Rainer

@rsfoto Good news-- thanks to your video samples I was able to 'crack' the DP250 GPS data encoding. The next release of Dashcam Viewer will support this camera.
