Wow , ok ...
With so much opinion out there , how about a set of Standards or rules by which to grade a Dashcam ( ? )
Video Quality
Audio Quality
Construction
Durability
Mount

Also grading the review Time , as in
Just got the cam
Had it for a week
Had it for a month
Had it for 3 Months
Because the guy that just got it ( ? )
VS say the guy thats had it for 3 months ...
There might be a slight difference ..

Aaaah ! Had lunch , the brain is working better now ...

Standardised Testing ... Product tests / reviews , to be able to do a real world comparison between products one needs Standardised Testing / Reporting .
So establishing DashcamTalk Standards DTs , for reporting / testing / reviews , would mean that no matter who tests , where in the world . A direct and meaningful comparison can be made between products .

This would require a fixed set of tests , as well as tools to be able to produce results that will be to the same standard no matter where , who or what computer is used .
A video editor could be Windows movie maker , and the output file would be (?)
Screen capture software , from RAW footage ( Same settings for everyone ) for say Video quality comparison ( Number plates at set distances )

We dont need a zillion tests , just a few that are to the DTs , and can be used to compare products .
