[DDPAI N5 Dual] Dashcam shutting down instead of sleeping + other power problems

Hello.

I have a DDPAI N5 Dual + Radar module installed with the "OBD Intelligent Hardwire Kit" on my 2019 Mazda CX-9. With this, I should be able to run 'parking mode', which essentially leaves the dashcam on 'sleep mode' instead of shutting down, and allows itself to 'wake up' whenever the radar detects something. However, I have been facing several different issues which I am unable to figure what the root cause(s) could be.

Setup: OBD port is connected to the radar module via DDPAI's OBD Intelligent Hardwire Kit, which connects and passes power to the front dashcam (using stock USB cable), and the front dashcam connects and passes power to the rear dashcam (using stock cable). I use a SanDisk 128GB High Endurance Video MicroSDXC Card for storage.

Here are the list of issues that I have been encountering:

1. Dashcam does not switch on with engine ignition. This happens more than half of the time. The only way to switch it on is either by 'flicking' the dashcam (basically activating collision detection) after engine ignition, or by unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable.
2. Dashcam shuts down instead of going to sleep. This pretty much happens almost every single time. After engine shutdown, the dashcam would remain on and recording (green led) for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, it would just shutdown completely, despite having parking monitoring and sleep mode switched on. Because it is completely off instead of sleeping, the radar module doesn't even work. I can't speak for the accuracy or reliability of the voltage monitoring fuction in the app but the shutdown has never been due to reaching the cutoff point. The only way it would switch it back on is by engine ignition but even that is not reliable (see point number 1).
3. Radar module is not detected / non-functional. Normally, the radar module's red LED would flicker on start-up and the radar settings would appear inside the app. While the radar module is able to pass power the front and rear camera, more than half of the time, it doesn't actually seem to be 'switched on'. The only way to switch it on is by unplugging and re-plugging the cable between the radar module and the dashcam, and sometimes it still takes a few attempts. Unplugging and re-plugging the power cable (while leaving the radar-dashcam cable plugged in) never seem to work. I thought that the radar module might have been defective but I have gotten it replaced and still encounter the same problem.

Things I have tried:

1. Formatting the SD card in-app.
2. Replacing the radar module.

I'm not very familar with car tech so I'm not entirely sure what could be causing the issue. Installation was performed by a car mechanic where I bought the product from but from what I understand, using the OBD port is simply just a plug-and-play and I didn't see anything odd when I was observing the guy doing the install. Is it possible that the Mazda CX-9 OBD port doesn't actually supply power constantly and has an auto-shutdown function if it doesn't detect any activity for a period of time?

I'm completely stumped and would appreciate any feedback or help you can throw at me!

After installation, check if the dashcam:

1. 1.
   Starts recording when the car ignites;
2. 2.
   Switches to parking mode when the car turns off.

If not, your Mazda’s OBD port may fail to detect ACC status (common compatibility issue).

Fix: Connect to the fuse box instead for reliable signal.
