Hello and good evening,

I have a DDPAI N5 DUAL dashcam which i bought 2 months ago and today the dashcam did not turn on when I started the car.
I have tried using different power cables, tried different USB socket and the car socket, tried to start the dashcam with and without the SD card, tried to start without the rear dashcam, formatted the SD card, talked to DDPPAI support and they provided me a firmware update for it but to no avail the dashcam did not started or run the firmware update as there were no lights blinking. Even in the DDPAI app, the dashcam was not found in both Bluetooth and WIFI.
The SD card is rated for dashcam usage and it is from Lexar.
There is also no physical damage to the dashcam nor the cables.
One thing to note, I have notice that the rear dashcam has lights on and seems to be working even though the power source are from the main front dashcam but the main dashcam is not even on so I am not sure how this is working.
Any feedback is much appreciated, thank you.

Disconnect the rear camera.
Reset the front camera if possible.

Thank you for the reply, I have tried to reset the dash cam without the rear connected but still no signs of it working.
Could it be a faulty circuit in the front dash cam which causing it to not turn on even with power connected?

It's always possible it's faulty.
I haven't reviewed this brand but a couple of other steps are worth trying.

When you say it doesn't power up but the rear camera seems to be working seems unusual to me.

The other things worth trying is bring the camera inside and see if it will power up connected to a usb charger rated at 2amps and try with and without the memory card and a replacement memory card.

If that doesn't work consider returning it.

I would do so as you stated and if nothing else works, I will contact DDPAI for a replacement.

Thank you for the feedbacks.

Since your phone connects to CarPlay via Wi-Fi, this Wi-Fi connection is occupied, making it impossible to connect to the dash cam’s Wi-Fi at the same time. Currently, all dash cams in the industry are designed to use local area network Wi-Fi for peer-to-peer connections. You can first disconnect CarPlay, then reconnect to the dash cam’s Bluetooth, and select the dash cam’s Wi-Fi—this will allow you to connect successfully immediately.
