DDpai X3 PRO
[Hisilicon Hi3559 + Omnivision OS05A10]
(High Hardware specification dual camera with Could System)
Specs:
+ Hisilicon Hi3559 (1600p front camera + 1080p Rear camera) one of the best SOC for dash cams, is able to support all sensor modes included: Twin-light, Starvis, HDR (even 3-frames)
+ Latest Omnivision OS05A10 sensor (with 2.0um/px more: https://www.ovt.com/sensors/OS05A10)
+ Hardware H.265 compression (!!!) 2 times better compression scheme, and 1/2 less file size
+ Cloud (!!!)
+ WiFi 2.4Ghz
+ Build-in 32GB MLC (hope there will be 64GB and 128GB option too)
+ High Quality design, RED DOT 21 World Design Award 2018 (!!!)
+ Price is around ~ £200-250 [Low price as for hardware specification and also Cloud system based camera, currently only Blackvue DR750S is a competitor which cost about + £150 extra, and also doesn't support H.265)
Cons:
- No Low-Bitrate parking mode? Very useful parking mode (100% security in any situations), not sure why dash cams manufacturers cannot spend extra 5min to add this in firmware? Hope they will add this with the next firmware update.
- No memory card slot (But if there will be 64GB nad 128GB version, or even Low-Bitrate in parking mode - no complaints)
Looks very promising dash camera!
Especially Cloud system with APP notification is something which bring any dash camera to the next level of security (only Blackvue users know what I mean)!
Cloud system means:
+ Direct Real live view from your dash camera to your smartphone (in any place in the world, no matter how far you are from your car) WiFi Router is required in your car to allow camera to be connected to the internet (possibly can be also connected to home WiFi network too)
+ Instant notification if car was hit or stolen, or was recovered/ towed from car-park (eg. because you forgot to pay parking ticket?)
+ Real car tracking system (you can locate your car at any time with real view pictures with sound, not even mention how funny is watching what car mechanic doing with your car, when you leave your car with him ):
Looking forward to see how camera preform in real world and also to get one (cannot wait when it will be available in EU)
One of the most expected camera in 2019 due to Cloud system and High specs hardware in low price margin.
What do you think guys?
(Let know in comment below)
So far I had DDpai MINI3 which is absolutely great, build quality is outstanding (compact camera in true metal housing), only low compression in driving mode was quite disappointed (12bmps@h.264 in 1600p mode is to low)
At the moment no FCC ID certification, but possibly they will be get it very soon:
