Or maybe with the lack of traffic on the roads due to covid-19, people have forgotten how to use the roads safely?

Recorded on Viofo MT1 dual Bike Camera.
The timelapse sections seem to be a bit too much for Youtube's bitrate! Uploaded at 1080 60fps.

Maybe he learned the trade in Denmark, driving on the wrong side like that.

I got the impression that he was partially blind, never took his eyes off straight ahead, as though he could see the sides of the road but not much more. Even after saying "I'm so sorry", he didn't make any attempt to avoid me, so I suspect he had heard my brakes rather than seen me.

Alternatively, maybe he had a balance problem and couldn't safely adjust his direction.

If I encounter him again then I will turn around and go and find out what the explanation was!

Aaa okay.

Well poor sighted should get exercise too, and a proper bicycle path will be excellent for that.
Thankfully most of us are able to deal with such a situation, cuz that's just the way it is, not every person you encounter are a idiot, not even with my gloomy perspective on other people.
Yesterday the doctor wanted my mother to be transported directly to the area hospital she belong to, which are like 60 KM from my sisters place, the 2 guys in the ambulance that came to pick her up, said O hell no we are taking her strait to the nearest hospital the way she look.

She get transported to a #3 hospital tonight having been to a #2 one today, due to the unique ways such things are set up here ( her local hospital not being experts on cancer )
So the old lady are getting the grand Danish hospital tour, but where she get transported tonight they should be able to do all the testing ASO that are needed.
I also hope they put her in a scanner, and picture her head too, cuz i still think she had one or more bleedings up there over the years since the initial event.

Yes, always good for people to get out for exercise, however bad they are, and we should all make allowances for people who have problems.

Would have been better if he had been on the correct side and his friend on the wrong side, since she would have been able to take avoiding action!

It wasn't a bicycle path though, last time I went along there I met this, good thing he didn't since it wouldn't have seen him wobble into its path!:

We have that problem too, with hospitals specialising in different things, so you may have to travel long distances to get treatment, but realistically, it is much better to be treated by someone who works with your problem on a daily basis and knows what they are doing, than be treated by someone who has to deal with that problem a couple of times a year.

Hope the outcome for your mother is a good one, whatever that might mean for her and everyone else.

I encountered my own blind cyclist a few years back. Presumably the guy in the front seat of the tandem bike is sighted but he's drifted into the vehicle lane of traffic instead of remaining over in the designated bike lane to his right.

If you encounter the guy again perhaps you should present him with a T-shirt to wear while cycling. :)

I did wonder about a white stick, since that is how I normally recognise a blind person, must be a way of displaying it on a bike!

Something to alert drivers and other cyclists would certainly be helpful. I like the T-shirt idea because it is so unequivocal.

Back in the day it was trending for a little while to have a reflex lollipop on your luggage rack sticking out to the side to "claim" space.
but it must have been a "then" thing cuz i can not find a single picture of a bicycle with one installed, but cycle shops still sell them.

Bicycle touring is very popular where I live and I often see cyclists with tall fiberglass flags on their bikes. Perhaps there could be a special one for a cyclist with an impairment?
