Hi Guys,
Nice Forum. A wealth of information, it helped me narrow down my research to two, much like most people I would imagine.

I really like the LIVUE LB100 HD and the GT550W.
I'm leaning more and more toward the LB100 but I just wanted to run this by everyone to make sure I don't make a mistake.
I'm in Colorado where temperatures swing wildly depending on the season. When it's cold I can't afford to have anything draining my battery while I'm at work. I understand both cameras can be turned off when the car is off.

Any reason to get the GT550w over the LB100?

Cheers,

If i were you, i would chose the livue without hesitation.
Because livue is stable, especially it has a clear picture at night.

Thanks Raymond. I think I've decided on it. I just wanted to make sure that it's suitable for a first time user.
In the other post I'm trying to find out what size SD card it can support.

Regards

For regions with high / low temperatures drops need to look for dash cameras with capacitors not batteries. Livue is ( was ) great quality dash cam but for modern days it has low bit-rate 8.5Mbps and uses battery, also its only 720p. Add some money and you can get much better dash cam.
