Hi! Just got this unit last month as a replacement for my R2000 Chinese cam. I never had the chance to review night footage via PC not until today. To my surprise the quality is much worst than my old dashcam. Could this be defective? I've attached clips via google drive. I'll try uploading a picture here as well.

from what I can tell, there look to be a serious issue either with the mount, or even the car its in, that's causing the cam to vibrate horrifically

or maybe the internals of the cam aren't secure inside its casing. but factoring all that out, the footage is actually as good as you'll get from night time viewing on that cam. So if you can find out what's causing it to vibrate so much, it could be solved.

Have you bought the cam brand new from a retailer?

thanks for the reply.. it's placed on a 2015 Suzuki Swift.. i got this cam brandnew last month sealed from a retailer.. let me try moving the camera to the side (it's currently placed at the back of the rear view mirror) let see if it helps. so you think it's the vibration that's causing it?

Was it touching the mirror? Could be the mirror vibrating through the cam if it was touching it

Personally yeah from the sample footage I think it's the vibration causing the "fuzzy" footage.. What mount is it attached with? is it securely fastened at the joints/adjustment bits?

Yesterday I firmly secured all joints (the top part wasn't fastened enough) on the suction holder but it didn't help. Family has another DP200 will try to swap (just the unit) and leave the mount as it is. Let's see if it still display the same video quality. Will get back..
